Key dates for Year 6 pupils joining the academy in September 2025 are detailed below:

Staffordshire County Council Application Process Opens All applications for admission to Year 7 at The Weston Road Academy are to be made via Staffordshire County Council. |
| 17th September 2024 | Open Evening (5.30-7.30pm) Ticketed event. |
| 31st October 2024 | Year 7 Application Deadline for admissions in September 2025. Submitted to Staffordshire County Council School Admissions Service. |
| 3rd March 2025 | Staffordshire County Council School Admissions Service send Year 7 allocation decisions to parents. |
| 24th June 2025 | New Intake Parent's Evening - 4-6pm |
| 2nd July 2025 | New Year 7 Full Day Visit |
