Children in Need 2024

Dear Parent/Person with Parental Responsibility,

On Friday 15th November 2024 it is BBC Children in Need which we will be supporting as an academy. We are aiming to raise donations in order to support amazing projects and organisations who are making a difference to young people’s lives here in the UK. One of the themes this year is about “Challenge”. This raises awareness about how everyone can face challenge and may need help to overcome it.

On this day we are inviting students to come into school in MUFTI (own clothes) in exchange for a £1 donation in tutor time or make a donation through our online donation link below. All monies will go to BBC Children in Need.

Please note that clothing must be appropriate for school (no crop tops/ short tops/ inappropriate slogans/short skirts or shorts/ no unitards) and that the usual safety rules (eg. False nails) with regards to uniform apply. Pupils who have PE on this day must ensure that their clothing and footwear is suitable for learning.

Students also have the opportunity to raise money over the next few weeks with sponsorships. These forms and details are explained on SatchelOne.

On the day there will be a bake sale at lunchtime to raise money in the new canteen at lunch. Prices between 50p-£1 (cash on the day only).

We are welcoming to donations to the bake sale from students. If you wish to contribute, please bring all baked goods to the lower canteen on the Friday morning. Please ensure it is nut free. Contributions to the bake sale will be awarded achievement points.
