Children in Need
Dear Parent/Person with Parental Responsibility,
On Friday 14th November 2025, it is BBC Children in Need which we will be supporting as an academy. We are aiming to raise donations in order to support amazing projects and organisations who are making a difference to young people’s lives here in the UK.
We will be asking that all pupils make a £2 donation online through the following link before the 14th November, to wear their “own clothes” in school on Friday 14th November, https://app.parentpay.com/ParentPayShop/Foc/Default.aspx?shopid=19767
Please note that clothing must be appropriate for school (no crop tops/ short tops/ inappropriate slogans/short skirts or shorts) and that the usual safety rules in regard to uniform apply. Pupils who have PE on this day must ensure that their clothing and footwear is suitable for learning.
The theme this year is “Challenge Yourself to 25!” To mark 2025, we want you to get sponsored to do 25 of anything; 25 kilometres on a bike, 25 cupcakes baked, a 25-minute football tournament, whatever you like! More challenge ideas are found here: https://www.bbcchildreninneed.co.uk/fundraising/
On the 14th November there will be a bake sale at lunchtime to raise money and we welcome donations of cakes (nut free) from students. The cakes will be on sale in the canteen at lunchtime, prices between 50p-£1 (cash on the day only). Please bring all baked goods to the canteen on the Friday morning. Contributions to the bake sale will be awarded achievement points.
There will also be a few challenges at lunchtime on the day, including a photography competition. The photography competition has been uploaded to students' Satchel One account to view, with details of submission on the day. There will be prizes for each year group.
