- Keep the posters safe as we’ll glue them into your books when you return in September. Some will be used as a classroom display so be neat!

USA Transition Work
One of the central recurring themes in A Level History is the role and significance of individuals in shaping events.
For each President, create a detailed significance poster about the key events and achievements/ failures in their Presidencies.
Using the Presidents Decoded chapters and the White House Website (https://www.whitehouse.gov/about-the-white-house/presidents/), create a poster for:
- Harry Truman.
- Dwight Eisenhower.
- John F. Kennedy.
- Lyndon Johnson.
- Richard Nixon.
- Gerald Ford.
- Jimmy Carter.

- Consider the chapter titles in the book as a way of dividing the poster sections:
- What was their background before they became President?
- What events are they remembered for?
- What happened during their Presidency?
- What has defined their Presidency?
- You should also focus on their roles in areas such as foreign policy, civil rights legislation, politics, and the economy.
- Add images and colours to the poster. (Democrats – Blue, Republicans – Red).
