Open Evening Information

Choosing the next step in your child’s education is a milestone event and we are very pleased to invite you to our Open Evening on Tuesday 19^th September 2023.

During the evening there will be two talks from the Headteacher (5:30pm and 6pm) and the opportunity to meet other members of the Leadership Team, who will provide an insight into school life at The Weston Road Academy.  You can tour the school at your own convenience throughout the evening and meet our amazing staff and students.

Booking is essential for the event, as this is a ticketed event we ask that families each have a ticket to be able to attend. Our Open Evenings are popular events and we would ask that families support us by bringing only a limited number of family members to the event.

Year 6 Transition to High School

Please be aware that Staffordshire County Council School Admissions determine pupil places for our New Year 7 in accordance with our admission arrangements. 

In the event of the school being oversubscribed, School Admissions will hold our waiting list and offer places should they become available until 31st December each year.

Years 7 (Mid Year) - Year 13 Admissions

Pupils in Years 7 to 13 can apply directly to The Weston Road Academy for a school place and we will liaise with Staffordshire County Council Admissions on your behalf. 

Please complete the admission form and forward to us via email to office@westonroad.staffs.sch.uk or post to The Weston Road Academy, Blackheath Lane, Stafford, ST18 0YG.

Secondary School Admissison applications for transition at the end of Year 6 are managed by the Staffordshire School Admissions Service, more information about Year 6 secondary applications can be found at Secondary School Admissions Information, as well on our website.
