End of term 2021 letter

We will be finishing for Christmas at 12.30pm on Friday 17th December, as we do usually . Please make arrangements for your child to get home at this time.

The only school buses that will pick up the pupils at this time are routes: 547, 548, 549 and the public bus, route 841, have agreed to divert the bus into the school this year and pick up pupils at 12.15pm. We will ensure that the pupils are ready to catch this bus but please ensure your child is aware this bus will be an earlier pickup. Unfortunately, this does mean that if your child catches the 11s Select Service you will need to make alternative arrangements to collect your child from school. If you have any difficultly with this please let us know by emailing office@westonroad.staffs.sch.uk by Friday 10th December, as we will keep them in school until the end of the day.

When we reopen in January 2022 we will be staggering the start back due to the Covid testing on site:

Sixth Form, Year 11, Year 10 and only pupils in 9T, 9O, 9N and 9R are to return to school at 8:45 on Wednesday 5th January 2022.
Year 7, Year 8 and pupils in 9W, 9E and 9S are to return on Thursday 6th January 2022.

Tuesday 4th January is an inset day.

We will be operating the lunch pre-order system from our website for Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th January only. Normal service will resume in the canteen on Friday 7th January.

Uniform checks will be taking place in January when pupils return. Please ensure that you support the academy by ensuring your child is in the correct uniform suitable for school, this includes wearing skirts on the knee, no leggings and no hoodies/sweatshirts under blazers.
